Question GD Imagine 2600RB heater duct blank off missing

2021 2600RB, been on a few trips but never used heater.
Went outside today to fire it up to make sure it works fine before we do any cold weather camping. So far everything else is fine.

Fired up fine, a little smoke since it is the first use.
The heater is next to kitchen sink, sink gets hot, under cabinet gets really hot.
Four (4) ducts are hooked up for the four heater vents, check.
However, there is a fifth hole in the plenum dumping hot air onto the wood piece next to the sink and then onto the sink.

I looked and there is no plate that fell off, just a wide open hole and dumps hot air under the sink.

Anyone get the plate and install it themselves? Dealer is an hour away so would rather attach it myself if I can.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Is the heat duct to the subfloor connected?

It’s necessary to heat the underbelly for the water tanks and the dump valves.

I had a similar but not the same problem on mine. I found that one of my 4" ducts was not mounted on the hole. After working on mine, and seeing how the outlets attach, I would recommend getting some light sheet metal from your home improvement store and make your own blank. The other connector can give you a pattern.

Are you sure it is supposed to be blocked off?

Maybe it is left off to heat the plumbing. I would check with GD before you do any blocking off.

Kitchen sink and wood next to the fifth heater opening get REALLY HOT. This are is under the sink and next to the kitchen drawers. No need to heat this stuff for sure.
I have four ducts, five openings. All ducts are connected to appropriate vent or floor junction. No loose ends.

Found a "knock out" inside the heater today after I used a mirror and magnet. Electrical outlets usually have knockouts that you punch out when you need that hole. Seems that this one was in place as a blank off and then somewhere down the line it fell out. This knockout was also blocking the lower ducting outlet.

Found a blank off online for $2 to fit the model furnace.

Should be here in a day or two and check it then.
