    Issue with signature

I've been trying to correct an issue with my signature. Fat fingers typed in 2600RD rather RB. I've gone in numerous times and changed it, verified it saved it but the signature keeps coming up RD. I was able to change out my tow vehicle when I replaced it in Oct, but this has vexed me.

How to make the change to stick and post correctly. And if I do get it corrected, will that show up in posts I've already made.

Thanks to our moderators for everything they do to keep this site going.

Try it now. I changed the "D" to a "B". I amp able to go to a special moderator section and do this. But you should have been able to do it via the Setting; edit signature and then just update it there, hit save and wha-la. Computers - go figure.

ah - just saw your cal sign. So you undoubtedly have the technical skill. so, like me, it was most likely a "fat finger" error......

You should be all good to go... 73's

It wasn't when he originally posted.

I guess the way I fixed it corrected his signature in any post he made. That makes sense since I went to the moderator site to fix it. I should have refreshed the page before asking him to try again and I would have seen the change.

Thanks for pointing this out. Everyday I learn something new; usually it involves cuts, bruises or scrapes.

    Larry,

I think the signatures are pulled from the record for the user every time a page is written - not "fixed" in the post itself. I have gone back and looked at posts I made 5+ years ago when my signature was much different - and the signature displayed in the old posts was my current one.

That makes sense. When I changed mine a couple of months ago, I'm pretty sure my prior sigs were not changed.

Thanks for the fix. Every time I tried to change that darn "D" to "B" it wouldn't stick. I guess many, many, many years ago, when I was sitting at the feet of Hipparchus of Nicaea, learning trigonometry and I got a grade of "D" the first time, it has stuck around to haunt me.

Thanks again and keep the shiny side up. 73's
