Power Grip Replacement Plug - 50 Amp Male

    Hello
I'm looking for a quality Power Grip Replacement Plug - 50 Amp Male that goes on the power post end of the RV power cord.

The power post had a loose connector at the prongs. It got my cord prong pretty hot and melted it a bit on line 2. The Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C Hardwire 50 Amp RV Surge Protector tripped a few times with a low voltage code and I should have switched earlier to the 30A connection.

Searching the forum and the web; there doesn't seem to be very many quality replacement ends.

Who has changed the cord end and found something besides Camco? Thanks, KEN

    Thanks Jerry.

I found the Progressive Industries replacement plug after posting. That seems to be a very good one. It doesn't have a handle to help unplug it, but does have many screws to hold it together. KEN

Once you have the new plug installed get one of these from Amazon, I saw it on here and bought it. It's perfect for sacrificing instead of your main cord in a loose electric pedestal. I also wrap a tie down strap around the connection if it's really loose.

It's pretty tough to beat the Leviton brand for excellent quality Electrical devices. Here is a link to the one that I would use to replace the end on my shore power cord if needed. Warning....it's pricy for sure, but like I said, Leviton electrical equipment is one of the best, if not the best that you can buy....

Make sure to shop around, as there is likely someplace that you can find to better the price of the one show in the above link.

I saw that on the Progressive Industries web site. Nice idea, but for the price it doesn't really make any sense. Stocking another plug would just as good. KEN
