Install fireplace in bedroom concerns
Hello all. I own a Solitude 379FL. I would like to install an electric ventless fireplace in our bedroom underneath the TV. Of course the TV has its own mounting bracket so I'm wondering if I'll be able to install the fireplace in a similar way. The one i'm looking at weighs about 32lbs. Would anyone see an issue with doing this install? It does not need to be recessed in and only sticks out about 4 in. My questions are will weight be an issue? Is there any wiring behind the wall? And will the screws hold? The TV is mounted so surely there must be something substantial that I can drill into to support it. Any comments are greatly appreciated! Thank you all.

Unless there is a backing plate (like provided for the TV), you would have to screw into the aluminum studs to support 32 lbs. In addition, the fireplaces are 1,400 watt heaters and, as such, draw 11.5 - 12 amps for just the heater. The fireplace in the living room has a dedicated AC circuit to support that draw. There are no "extra" AC circuits just laying around in walls in RVs. Getting the proper power supply to the fireplace is going to be the main issue. Many of us use portable ceramic heaters... why not just use one of those?
