Question about which SumoSpring for 297 RSTS
Has anyone out there with a 297 RSTS placed Sumo Springs on your trailer and if so which one. My axles are rated 5100lbs which is just over the limit for the 3000-5000 spring. I'm afraid things will be stiffer than I would like if going with the 5000-8500 spring. I usually run around 8700 gvwr during my Winter trip South. I would not be anywhere near that for a shorter trip.

I installed TSS-107 40 Sumo springs on my trailer last summer. The benefits were noticeable right away. The first was the correction of a problem I wasn't aware of. That is the tendancy to lean when going through a curve, kind of like "cracking the whip" . The first time I entered a highway on-ramp that was curved I noticed how much more stable the whole experience was as the trailer wasn't trying to tip out. The next was evident in looking at the interior contents. With a loaded weight close to yours my trailer is bouncy and the Sumo Springs did much to tame and dampen the bounce. It didn't stop it completely but I'm able to leave things on the dinette cushions and recliners without finding them on the floor when I set up. I had looked into installing shock absorbers but found choices and installation compromised at best. I think It was Powerscol ? that posted his thoughts on using the newer higher rated Sumos

Being so close to the cut off would sway me to the softer ones, especially since you run pretty light loaded up.

Thanks for the response Wicked ace and Grandesigner. I'm leaning toward the 3000-5000 model. I think the higher rated model would be a little over kill.

I have a Reflection 220RK withe 4400 axles and installed the 107's Why - I wanted them to act as bumper stops for my 16" tire upgrade. They are stiff but not to stiff as I can still rock the trailer if needed. Question - what is your primary need for installing. If it is stability I would go with the 107's .

I'm looking to smooth the ride of the trailer. I have lost a TV which is mounted toward the rear of the axles and have had the microwave plate jump out of a closed door. The great shape of our highway system contributes to this. Everything in the trailer is being tossed around.

I would go with the MFG recommendation and use the 107's
https://www.supersprings.com/ This is who makes them. Their customer service is great, so give them a call. Ask about a discount code too.
