    Some ideas.....

    1) remove the existing double sided tape and use VHB of your choosing.

    2) use existing adhesive and put some self leveling caulk over the base.

    3) forget the clamps and just use some self leveling caulk directly over the wires.

    4) find clamps with no adhesive and see #1

Keep in mind that plastic degrades in the sun and you will need to replace the cable ties in the future. You want to stick them down with something you can get off without damaging the roof material. If you use the self-leveling or non leveling sealer recommended for your roof you will be able to get it off when needed. I had solar cables on a trailer that had zip ties embedded in self-leveling sealant and when they broke I just had to remove the sealant.

I just used Eternabond tape over all my wires to hold them in place. If I ever have to remove the wires, I'll just cut the Eternabond tape and pull the wires out.

All good suggestions here. I am almost ready to get my hardware up on the roof, Waiting for a few small items. 800W with combiner box and cabling. Been looking at ways to stick the wires down every 5 feet or so. I am using the AM Solar all in one wire, made for roof exposure.

This! I did ours thousands of miles ago and still holds. I was going to use lap sealant over it but never did and don’t really see a reason to.

I just used these with UV resistant zip ties and put DICOR on and around it all to seal it up. I also use UV rated PV wire.
