I watched some videos and decided to leave that to an experienced repair specialist. I did go ahead and unplug the motors at the controller and my wife and I together couldn't budge the slide. Isn't this the way you're supposed to bring in the slide if all else fails? Like I say we couldn't budge it in or out.

Gave this a try without success except now I'm hearing a loud pop at that corner when I retract the slide.

Just FYI, I've found Lippert to be really helpful with tips and both of their representives thought my battery, even though brand new, might be losing voltage rapidly. I've now replaced it with another battery which has much better readings at the controller, but didn't help the issue at all.

You have to physically disconnect the motor from the linkage, it's more than just the wires.

Well good to know, the dealer showed me the plugs at the controller and said "easy as that". The conversation began with me asking where you put in the crank to bring it in.

Would you elaborate on this a little? Seems you would "hear" the motors as soon as you activate the slide switch, and this is not going to allow the slide to move but a fraction. What am I missing? thanks.

Nothing, that is exactly what you want it to do.

Fully extend the slide, run back in just enough to get the motors to reset for "in". Then run out again. You want to try to get the one side to catch up with the other.

Thanks. I'm trying to learn as much about the Swintek slides as I can. I just have this feeling that somewhere down the road, when I'm in the middle of nowhere, I'm going to have to work on mine.

    Equalize it

Have you tried to equalize the slider? Factory rep told me to began procedure when slide is all the way in. From that point - extend slider approx 1" (quickly release switch button) then retract slide all the way in while holding the switch in button until no further noise, then release switch button. Do this procedure 3 times and it will have equalized the slider. I've always had approx 1" trim away from the wall on one side but the seals are in the correct place so I don't worry about it. Also, here is a great video showing how to properly lubricate your slider https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXw9...ist=WL&index=3 Best of luck figuring it out!

I don't know if this has bee added here because I did not read ALL of the replies. However, two nights ago I watched this video (just for fun?). This guy really goes into the slide and talks about adjusting the slide at the end. Also has a tag to another video that goes over the whole slide setup and maintenance. Well work watching.
