Adding a tank to the one control tank monitoring
Has anyone ever done this?
I just added a 52 gallon grey tank servicing the Kitchen sink and W/D hookup. The way it came from the factory had the 1/2 bath, bath sink, toilet, Kitchen sink, and W/D all going into one tank. That tank now only services the 1/2 bath.
The added tank is an exact match from GD to the others, and it has the sensors installed. The one control shows a tank with no readout. So I am wondering if the wiring may be already installed somewhere? If so, where would it be?

Wires should be behind the false wall in the basement. You should see a tank monitor module with wires coming out of it and hopefully there are extras or at least extra terminals for the new tank.

I have been looking at that. Mine is buried worse than yours. The 5 wire ribbon that goes to all of the tanks goes across the front of it and wraps around the rear. I cannot figure out just where the tank wires attach. I noticed that on the wires I can see leading from the coach to the one control board, that they pigtail onto a different colored wire that then plugs into the board,. This may be what is happening to to the tank wires, behind the board. Or maybe they plug in on the backside. It appears to be pretty involved to disassemble any of this for a better look.
I am considering just mounting a conventional monitor panel just for this new tank.2021 398M Full Body Paint 8k axles. LRH tires. Disc brakes.

I've noticed on mine that on pigtails that come off the connector that are not in use are just there. They don't terminate or anything.
My original use for this diagram was to figure out how to wire the outside temperature sensor to get the outdoor temp to show up on the control panel.Curtis, Christine, Cole, and Charlotte

I got it figured out. There were 6 wires not being used. One had no power. 2 had 12 volts, and 3 had about 9 volts, the same as the othe tank wires. On a hunch, I decided to determine what color wire serviced the grey tank It was grey. I then looked at what colored wires had 9 volts. One was grey with a black stripe..... That was it, grey tank # 2 is now operational!
Thank you Curtis for your help. It gave me just enough info to figure out the rest.Last edited by huntindog; 01-30-2021 at 06:20 PM.
