    Blackstone Griddle

just curious what you cook on a Blackstone griddle while camping. Huge fan of looppellet smoker, but kids bought us a griddle for Christmas. Outside of breakfast, what do you normally cook?

Look at it as a giant sauté pan

    Chicken Marsala/ Picatta/ Francaise
    Shrimp Scampi
Any stir fry Chinese/ Aisian food
    Brats/ Kielbasse
    Portobellos stuffed with Gorgonzola

    Desserts
    Fried apples and Brandi
    Sautéed peaches and vanilla
    Bananas Foster

Sky is the limit. You don’t have to be confined. It’s a nice gift and so easy to clean

    Outside of breakfast:
    Smash burgers
    Philly steak and cheese
    Steaks
    Vegetables
    Tacos
    Fried Rice

Anything which can be prepared in a frying pan, griddle or Wok. Breakfast is indeed my favorite though. Nothing like teaching grand babies how to flip pancakes or cooking bacon while enjoying the first cup of coffee of the day while overlooking a lake.

You guys are awesome. Searching the internet didn't reveal many of these great ideas. I did find a link for steak. Butter the griddle and cook the steak on medium heat for
3 minutes. Add butter and flip steaks. Cook for another 3 minutes. Monitor temperature. Cook 1 minute on each side until desired temperature is reached. Perfectly done.

Wow... Lots of great idea's. I am a huge fan of the Blackstone. Anyone else ever have trouble with it when it's windy? The heat just blows out...I always have to put foil over sides and back because Blackstone doesn't make wind guards for 22.

We cook everything unless it requires boiling - like soups and chili, etc. Have cheap one eye electric hot plate from Walmart for those food items. Got dome cover to help hold heat and keep food from drying out. Also have foldable wind shield for when wind is blowing hard. Below is some links on Amazon but you can pick up most of these items at Walmart, maybe Home Depot. Egg rings are also help to cook eggs with on griddle.
Scrapper is a must to clean griddle, unless you use something with sugar in it you can just scrap and wipe down. Found it's very easy to clean by spraying a little water on top then wiping down. Always put some cooking oil on griddle when finished cleaning to prevent rust, best done when hot. I use those blue paper shop towels for cleaning griddle, they work better than regular paper towels.
