Hey Devinh2. You have excellent taste in trucks. I ordered virtually the same (Laramie Longhorn). Did you get the rear air suspension? We both chose the same power train and rear diff.

No, I did not get the rear suspension. Didn't see the need. I got the truck about a month ago now, and it is a beast. I love it.

Sounds like a beast. Way back in 1995 I was looking for a new truck to replace my Dakota. I looked at the new Ram, as well as Ford and Chevy. At the time Dodge was "VERY PROUD" of their new design and getting one below MSRP was impossible. I ended up with a Chevy 1500. Had that truck for 177,000 miles, and replaced it with a 2004 2500HD. In 2013 the 2500 was replaced with a used 2008 3500HD with only 32000 on it. The funny thing is that every time I upgraded my truck, my trailer was upgraded not to long afterwards. My Wildwood 29FKS, which I full timed in from 2003 - 2005 became my first 5th wheel, a Sandpiper 345RET. The Sandpiper became my current 5th wheel. I had to promise the wife I would't upgrade my truck again!

I finally got my truck last Friday and indeed it is a beast. We both love it. We picked up our 380TH are in the process of familiarizing ourselves with our new rig. So far we are still as amazed as we ordered everything

Shuttle driver at Voyager RV gave me e great tip regarding the brake controller. He says that with the factory controller all you have to do is set maximum gain and the truck's computer with calculate brake application automatically. No more guessing as you pull away each trip

On the RAM that is incorrect. You set the gain manually - otherwise why would they not assume 10.0 and omit the control?

Ram gunner is right; you set your brake controller manually. Mine is set at 6.5. The exhaust brake will hold your downhill speed and it will downshift automatically if necessary to hold your speed. Incredible engineering

That does help boys. I had a quick braking event where I think I heard a chirp from the trailer tires. Can someone help out with a process to determine brake gain prior to each trip?
