    I did get an appointment with the local GD dealer in less than 2 weeks, so maybe I should just wait for them to deal with it. I think they are hoping it just needs lube so they can charge me an hour of labor, lol, not really funny though.

    I would them monkey with it. That way, when the aluminum rails are chewed up from the gear teeth they can't point fingers at you.

    Update...
    BTW, it has gotten worse with time, for someone who asked. It was quiet before.

    So it is the shop waiting for parts to fix under warranty. The top motor gear, drive shaft and bottom gear or something like that...
