    Inverter Question

We just purchased a 2021 380FL-R. We get delivery in a couple of more days. GD's owner manual states that the inverter is a 2000W inverter, but the booklet included for the inverter states that it is a 1000W. Since we don't have it yet, I can't physically look at it. Has anyone else run into this and know which it is?

Pretty sure it's a 1000 watt inverter for the residential fridge. I had mine converted over to res. fridge and they got the inverter from GD, same as if factory installed. It's 1000 watts.

It depends on whether you have factory solar and the residential fridge or just the residential fridge. If just the fridge, it's a 1,000 watt inverter; if you have factory solar and the residential fridge, it's a 2,000 watt inverter.

Now that you bought the rig, you can create a signature so you don't have to repeat info each time you post: Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left).

Hi all, we are purchasing a 2021 380FL-R and wanted to check and make sure that while driving does the truck provide charge to the batteries so the inverter can keep the fridge going on a long day of travel ? thanks

    Hey, Paul,

When asking a question not related to the thread's original post, it's probably best to start a new thread.

Now, to your question: the charge from the tow vehicle is minimal and you probably shouldn't count on it to provide enough current to operate the inverter and refrigerator without using your battery capacity. A couple of good 100 AH lithium batteries should suffice for a long travel day. We have the factory solar to keep our LiFePO4 batteries topped off on travel days.
