At least yours just blew off, it happens. Now the one on my Imagine got peeled off on a roof support beam in my former storage area while I was backing in lol. No other damage, just surgically removed the awning motor cover. Dealer comped me one, all good.

We lost an awing motor cover on our 1st trip south. GD covered it under warranty and sent us two. I kept the second one incase we lose another. I used a bit of glue to hold it on.

The water heater cover on many uses a plastic clip which can easily break. I just bought a metal one at a Gander RV to replace the plastic one on the Raptor.

2nd the replace with the metal tab. I just completed the home study RV Maintenance Technician/Inspector Course ftom NRVTA and that was one thing they hammered home - replace the plastic tabs with metal. I found a package of 2 at CW for $7.

I have also lost that awning cover within the first two months and the way they kind of snap in seem to be a problem. When I replaced it I went ahead and taped the seam with a strong clear plastic tape on all the cover seems and haven't had one fall off yet.

Did you use clear packaging tape or something heavier duty?

I used a clear repair tape from Home Depot. Not sure of the brand but it's heavier than a packaging tape.
