    376THS Heat

To all the 376THS owners out there how's your furnace working? I am really disappointed in the ability (or inability) of the furnace to provide good warming. I'm not talking really cold temps either - like in the 30's - too low to run the heat pump - I even have the double pane windows.

I've checked all the hoses to make sure they are not leaking (or not connected), I think they just provide too many vents everywhere and the air flow is very limited. I am preparing to block off some of the vents in the basement in efforts to provide better airflow to the living area.

They could have put in a larger BTU unit but in this case with it being an airflow problem don't think it would have helped much.

Let me know how yours is working out would like to pass on some info to GD for the future.

Not a THS but ours heats very well and evenly. We have been down to 15 degrees and furnace was still cycling. We also have DP windows.

We looked real hard at the 376 but camp extensively in cooler temps and I was concerned that the furnace couldn’t keep up, especially in the bedroom, glad we passed on it.

Don't block the vents in the basement. Much of the cold comes from down there through the return vents under the cupboard wall to the living room.

The first day of camping; the rv is still in the warm-up mode. It takes a day or so before all of the structure warms up. Once the frame and walls all warm up we find the furnace cycling less. KEN

We ran into the same issue on our 399TH, and it was not that cold either.

The heater does blow warm air. I think the very tall ceilings and wide space do make it a challenge to heat such a large open space when starting the heater from a cold starting point.

I can see supplementing with electric heater/fireplace with the generator from time to time to give it a head start. We have a boon-docking trip planned in the future in the cold/snow and will try that...

I'm curios if anyone runs the "fan" mode on one or all AC units to help circulate the heat (rises to the ceiling) in colder temperatures. If you have a garage and 3rd AC not sure if you loose heat to the garage or if it can be isolated from the rest of the unit in this case.
