Generator and Inverter

Thank you for the response, sometimes I feel like I am going crazy trying to figure out the systems. The PDI was a joke, poor kid didn't have a single answer. We have the 2K and 50 amps. I learned the hard way that the inverter doesn't like to make ice, lol. That is one of the top three reasons we bought this 5'er.

No worries. This is our third trailer and I’m always learning new things. Yes, PDIs are near worthless, but YouTube has a ton of great info along with this forum. Yeah, we run generator or shore power for ice. Surprising how much power that thing uses. We were bummed our inverter doesn’t power any outlets in the garage or our the master tv outlet, which drives me nuts. Good luck and happy camping!

Junk it all and get rid of the converter.
We have a Victron Multiplex charger inverter 12/ 3000/120
The 3000 inverter is a beast and is connected to ALL GFI outlets
The 120 amp 4 step charger is top of the line keeping you batteries primed
Has an automatic Transfer Switch so nothing to do when going from shore power. To battery power. Generator is just like
Shore power.
