Ok. I was already looking at several TPMS. Any suggestions on some solid options?

Thanks also for the photos of propane tank security.

    Appreciate all the responses!

    What is that?

I guarantee most if not all tire failures are the fault of the operator
    Lack of air
    Overloaded
    Bearings bad
    Bent axle
Or the big one which is unavoidable most times is hitting road debris

    Invest in a tpms
Also, invest in a laser thermometer. My friend recently had a situation where one of the hubs on her 5th wheel was literally ON FIRE while she was on the highway. She was totally unaware, another driver alerted her and she pulled over right away. Her entire hub and axle assembly were destroyed, and she was kicking herself because she knew that she should have greased her wheel bearings, and kept putting it off. Lesson learned (after a couple thousand dollar repair). Anyway, my point is that there is more to be concerned about than just tire temperature. I make it a habit now to check my hub and tire temps at every gas stop.

Tireminder i10 or tst 507. We had a hard time choosing. We went with the i10 as the pressure are always displayed on screen as opposed to screen rotation.

I second AZMike on the laser temp finder. Use it not only on hubs but tires, stove top temps and a host of other things. $30 at harbor freight and has worked fine for 15 years.

Thanks all. I’m convinced. I ordered the laser thermometer but I am frozen with indecision all the TPMS systems. I looked at the i10 suggested above. I see it on Amazon but not on CW. There are other models on CW - some more, some less. I also see a solar powered unit on Amazon from Tireminder that mounts on windshield. It says it is for 25’ or less trailers. My BH2400 is 28’. Will that really make a difference on transmitter range?

One other question. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 and it has built in TPMS. I assume I don’t need to buy transmitters for the truck tires- just the trailer, correct?

Anyway, I’ll do a bit more research but if anyone else has a recommendation on TPMS I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks all. Love the forum.

    CW??

Tire tracker is another model from Progressive Industry that has a lifetime warranty on it

The solar powered version of tire minder I believe you are referring to trl-4 has a signal booster with it

One thing to note about that tpms is that it only reads to 70 psi
That is somewhat sufficient for your current trailer but I will be purchasing one that goes well beyond that just in case I acquire a trailer that has higher psi

I think Tire tracker will be what I order
    YMMV
