Unfortuantely, you are reading this correctly.

I've gone through the wiring diagram for the the AC unit from Furrion and it shows there is supposed to be a room sensor strategically located in the RV, but at this time, I can't find it. While on the phone, the Furrion folks told me the sensor is in the AC unit.

    Not a great design.

If anybody has any information that may be able to help me navigate this problem, I sure would appreciate it.

    Thanks for this.

Can you please send a link to the sensor relocation kit?

How would the air conditioning even work if the sensor is in the unit?
It would always sense cold air

The A/C does not actually run, just the fan to circulate the air. I am very interested in the sensor relocation kit that you found. Also, the furnace works without shore power, so the temperature sensor being relocated looks like a fairly good solution.

I was referring in the summertime when you are running the a/c. If the sensor for it is in the u it itself how would it ever tell what the coach temp is

I will check mine in the spring but we seldom ever use the heater anyway but if this is how it operates I will likely lean to just put another thermostat beside the furrion one just to run the furnace

The wiring should be right there and a simple mod unless I am missing something

Shocked more people are not chiming in if this is an issue
It appears to be a huge issue that others must know about

It's usually on the warm side of the evaporator, so it sees air that has not been cooled yet.
