I can do that next weekend. It is raining cats and dogs in N.C at the moment. Also I can show you the individual "bits" not hooked up as the RV is under its shelter in the back yard and the generators are in the garage where they live when not being used/taken somewhere. Does that work 4U?

Assuming all 3 make make the same amount of noise, say 55 db each, they would be the ~ same volume as the number of generators does not increase the number of db's. This is an interesting article on generator noise: http://www.generatorgrader.com/quietest-generator/

Our goal would be to be able to run the AC when needed.

    Thanks for any help.
I run the 2 2000w generators, due to the weight issue. I installed the Soft Start on the main ac in the rear. I am only generating 30 amp combined and cannot run both acs, so no point in putting the Soft Start on the second one; I just need to move to someplace cooler for DW!

This is our setup. The fuel tank travels either on top of the generator boxes or in the PU bed. I had to really shrink the pictures to 300X225. If you want original sized 2800X2160 images PM me and I can get them to you via e-mail

Dude, that is b***hin!!! I have not been anywhere that I needed a generator. If/when I do, I am copying this type of setup and would call it "the Lovells Kit!"

I love it. I guess the gens get enough air for the intake? Also it seems that you have another piece of diamond plate to cover the exhaust and intake right when not in use. Is the dynamic making a big difference? Sorry for the million question. Lol I just love your idea.

We have a single 3100 watt unit that powers our AC with gusto and does the more mundane electrical chores much more quietly. It weighs 90 pounds, so at age 73, I load it into the back of the truck just once at the beginning of the season before I mount the fifth wheel hitch.
When we are in a non-powered site, I disconnect the truck and move it a short distance away to avoid the risk of CO poisoning and run the generator right there in the front of the truck box. I've checked very carefully, and even on the hottest days with it working hard, there is nothing in the truck, near the generator, that gets any hotter than under the direct sunlight alone. (Just make sure you don't park your spare fuel jugs in line with the exhaust discharge.)
And finally, closing the tailgate helps direct the generator sound upwards, away from us and neighbouring campsites.

I opted for two Honda 2200 and the cable to connect them. I figured it's easier to lift 45 pounds in and out twice than 90 pounds in and out once.

I prefer the one generator. Pain trying to keep them both filled plus our Westinghouse 4500 df runs 18 hours.

As far as weight at 100 lbs , it has wheels and handle. Two can lift it. You can also buy light weight ramps to roll it down from the bed of the truck. We’ve even seen some who run it from the truck bed with an exhaust extension hose costing 10 bucks
