    HappiJac system weight?

Anyone know or care to venture a guess what the complete HappiJac system weighs?

Isn't that to lift campers? The ones that go in the bed of your pickup?

No. The bed/couch system used in the rear of the toy haulers. Trying to figure out what the entire system weighs. Can't see that HappiJac lists that information any where.

I'll take a wild guess and say around 400 lbs total.....the upper bed/frame, the sofas and the mounting arms, and the railing/track that it run on, plus the motor/chains/etc.

Thanks. I'm considering removing the entire system to save some weight. Wasn't prepared for the 31G dry weight to be 900 lbs. more than the stated average build weight on the GD website. Looks like we are going to be a good bit over weight with the SXS in the garage. We'll never use the bed feature so considering replacing the HappiJac system with a regular table and chairs. Sounds like it might be worth it if it weighs that much.

I was considering removing most of it. Already have the top bunk out. Was looking at the bottom chair system and it looks like it might make a great place for a few storage cupboards. Remove the seats, use the "L" brackets and build some cupboards. Lift it up when the SXS is there, lower when not. And, as you say, ditch the table and replace with a set that can be moved out to the patio if the weather is nice, or inside the garage if not so nice.

I haven't done anything with mine yet but I'm leaning towards removing the couches completely and replacing one of them with a table. I've seen a few that have done this in the Facebook groups. Seems like it might be the best use of the system and save the maximum weight.
