    Service

    So we purchased a 2021 grand design toyhauler in july/20 in Las Vegas from a Grand Design dealership. During walk through we noted a couple minor issues, (sofa light not working, fuel gauge to generator gas tank not registering) We live in California so we opted to take possession of unit.
    In early August we noticed a exterior warp or a bulge in the back left exterior " j wrap " I did refer to this issue on this site previously.
    So we took unit to grand design dealership 3 hrs away in august. Needless to say the unit is STILL there.
    Numerous issues in ordering parts, terrible communication with me. At one point around Thanksgiving they indicated it was ready. Made the trip over, took a day off work. On my way after confirmation again it was ready service writer called us and informed me the wrong part was ordered, 6 weeks for correct part.
    I arrived, batteries were dead from sitting, work on the " bulge" was terrible, unacceptable.
    I left, made contact with grand design customer service in Indiana...LONG STORY short, still not ready, AND they just informed me someone " hit" my trailor!
    Does ANYONE have any advice for us at this point moving forward....thanks

    gosh - if this is really a GD dealer then I think I'd be on the phone with GD asking for help with that dealer. heck - they require you to go to a dealer, the select the dealers, it seems they should have some responsibility to help. (can i say that - a manufacturer has some responsibility????)

    I also think an in-person visit is in order with the General Manager of the dealership. For sure it is time to talk to someone other than whoever you have been dealing with.

    btw.... i fixed that subject for you and change servive to service - if I messed something up let me know and I'll change it back.

    Yes, please call GD customer service. They will probably help you.

    If your talking about Blue Dog in Las Vegas, my best advice is to come pick up the RV, take it home, and fix it yourself. They are horrible. We had nothing but problems with them, and they damaged my RV not once, but twice. To my advantage, we live literally 4 miles from them, so I would make weekly face to face communication with them. We also kept the RV and used it, with the understanding that when the parts came in, I would schedule an appointment for the install. After 6 months of them trying to get the couch lights fixed I blew a gasket with the Service Manager (I think I actually had him frightened of me). I finally got the repairs completed and will never use them again. For warranty repairs while still under warranty I used a reputable mobile tech.

    Can't argue with the mfg having some responsibility. But Grand Design doesn't require you to go to a dealer. Of course they suggest you do, but if you are unhappy, they have been more than willing to let non-Grand Design dealers or mobile techs do the work. They just have to be a professional, and if it is warranty work, to agree to reimbursement by Grand Design. Except Camping World...never, ever Camping World.
