If we need more I fill a five gallon water jug from a fresh water spigot or well pump at the campground. I set the jug right up next to the panel. I have a short, 5' piece of clear vinyl tubing with a male garden hose connector on one end that I connect to the water inlet, the white one, on the Nautilus panel and put the other end into the five gallon jug and then set the valves to - Sanitize Siphon to tank via pump-, then all that is left is to turn the pump on and watch the water go through the tubing until it sucks the jug dry. It usually takes 2 to 3 minutes at the most. I made sure cut the end of the hose slanted so it could sit at the bottom of the jug and not get sucked tight to the bottom. One other note from experience, be sure to put valves back to original settings when finished.

You have to be careful doing this as it can cause problems with your water pump. I was dry camping for 2 weeks at the Daytona 500 in 2020 and had a 35 gal fresh water tank along with me to refill my tank. I did it using the sanitizer mode and after the second 35 gal tank was used my pump would not shut off without turning the switch off. I used it that way for the remainder of that trip but then had to have it serviced at the dealership as it was only about 9 months old. It turns out that the sanitizer feature is only meant for small amounts of fluid and not for filling the entire 60 gallon tank. I then went out and researched transfer pumps and found this one (below) from Milwaukee tools that I decided to buy since I already had several batteries and chargers. It transfers the 35 gallon tank through the normal city water inlet in about 6 minutes. Never had a problem since.

Congrats! We got ours about a week after they were released last year and absolutely love it. We're now in month 3 of an 18 month trip around the lower 48.

Thanks…we winter in Hemet and go to the Costco in Temecula regularly.
Just waiting to see if the USA will open their borders to non essential travel. Hope so soon.
