    Air Compressors

This is my 1st unit with H rated (17.5, 110 psi) tires. I have a portable compressor, but I don't think it is going to cut it. I have seen mixed reviews on the VIAIR 450P 12v. Anybody using it with H's? With a geny is anybody using a 110V compressor? If so, what model? You can buy a small one for about $130.00 and I was surprised how light it is. The VIAIR is 15 lbs and the husky at HD only weighed 30 lbs.

I use a DeWalt 6 gallon (165 PSI) pancake air compressor. It is 120v AC only but it does a decent job topping up my trailer (load range G 110 PSI cold) tires. It takes a little while, depending on how much pressure I have to adjust. I use it mostly to compensate for altitude and/or temperature during our travels. I also use it to pump up the truck rear tires. If we are staying at one site for more then a few days I drop the rear tire pressure in the TV to 65 PSI for a much better ride. I them pump them back up to 80 PSI for towing.

I’ve used the Vair 450p-RV which I’ve had for 8 years . Original for our sailboat and dinghy but now with the truck and RV I’m using it more. I found it at a yard sale and bought it for $50. New they are about $350. The inflame quickly and to 150 psi.

The best part unlike many other air stations they can run at least 40 minutes before needing a small siesta.

I use the DeWalt 20VMax Cordless/corded air compressor. It has a max of 160 PSI and is pretty compact.

The Viair 450P-RVS would be the perfect match for you. I got mine from https://www.technorv.com/viair-450p-...s-a-motorhome/ They do have sales and coupons from time to time - just ask. Its a very complete kit with storage bag and plenty of air hose and power cord length.

    Hope this helps

Just be aware, these battery powered units do go thru some batteries especially if your trying to achieve pressures over 100 PSI. That is why I like the DeWalt because you can use the 20VMAX batteries or plug it into 110VAC.

I have the viair 450P. It may take a while to get to 110psi, but it will get there. If I'm camping, I'm not in a hurry anyway. I like it 'cause it also comes with an extension to get to the inside tire on my DRW.

I hear ya. That why I liked the 12v power cord with it. Plus it doesn't make sense to switch at the point when I have 8 batteries and 10 tools.
