What did you do with the chair straps?
What have you done with the chair straps that are screwed to the floor directly under the chairs? I hadn't noticed that they were attached, was this just for transport or GD's overall travel solution? The straps in there present location would be at your feet while at the table and quite the pain. I can see using the straps around the pedestal the each chair to secure while driving.
What have you done?

We removed them and don't strap the chairs in place. We've put over 10K miles on ours, and the chairs have never moved. And some of those roads were pretty bad.

X2 what Jim said.
Just unscrew the straps from the floor.
If you are concerned about the chairs bouncing around, you can take a couple of the straps together, wrap it around the forward chair legs and the table pedestal, and tie it. A bungee cord of the proper length would work also.

I bought a small pack of the hinged triangular tie down points. I used the same screws and screw holes that held down the straps. I now use 4 bungy cords by clipping them to the newly installed tie downs.
When we arrive at our destination I unclip my straps and store them in one of the chairs. The tie downs lie flat and are no problem.

On my 303 the straps unclip from the rings and are screwed into the floor which works for me. I think this is different from in the past...when you undid them they just lay on the floor under your feet?

We added a "D" ring in the place of the screw into the floor. It lays flat when not in use and the straps are stored in a cabinet.
