Access to interior fridge light wires on dometic 2862 to wire a fan MK2670

I am wanting to get an interior fan for the fridge and wire it to the LED interior light power, but the cover seems to be riveted on by plastic rivets. Anyone do this mod, or figure out how to gain access to the wires?

I simply use the battery operated fan. It runs for 1 or 2 months.

I ran wire through the drain hole and connected it outside...it is on switched power and works like a charm...three 120 computer fans in parallel. I was going to tap into the light but hit the same snag you did.

Next I plan to write some fans up to the exterior exhaust...got some time but we live in central Texas and it can get blistering hot. Want to give the fridge every advantage it can get.

I know this is an old post, but when you say it's on switched power, can you explain more how you hooked to the power at the back of the fridge through the drain hole? Thanks.
