We have had numerous bumper pulls, 2 big 5th wheels and a class A gas rig. Just sold our 2019 Outback 221 UMD and purchased a new 2970 RL. Besides all the past trailers I was an owner operator for 15 years mainly western US and Canada. That being said, this will be the first unit we have had with a 50 amp cord. I have a second 30 amp cord we used before when power was too far away. What is the drawback of doing this if any? I like to plug the unit in at home before we go when loading up the day before to get the fridge cooled down and I just run an extension cord out to the trailer from the garage. Looking at retirement soon and this unit fit the bill for extended living for us.
