    Truck bedrail clearance

Hello All. We pick up our 260RD next week and I'm trying to see if I'll have enough clearance between my truck's bedrail and the bottom of the RV. I have a 2018 Ram 2500 and the distance from the ground to the top of the tailgate is 59 inches. Can anyone tell me what the distance is from the ground to the bottom of the RV (near the hitch plate) when the RV is level? Thanks for the help, John.

Keep in mind that your tow vehicle will "squat" when hooked up, unless you have air bags and they compensate for the weight. I do not know the RAM product line so can not help there. On our F350 with Solitude 310GK (~2,800# pin weight), the truck squats about 3".

Most 5th wheel hitches have a height adjustment.

I have a 2017 Ram 2500 HD and 2017 Reflection 303. I have about 7" of clearance and the truck squats about 2+". I am slightly 1" nose high. So you will be good to go.

I've got 8" and my RV dealer says it's perfect. He says 5-8" is what you want.

Please do not take this the wrong way but I believe the OP wanted an real world measurement from the ground to the hitch plate on the 5'er when level. I am curious of this measurement also in the event we upgrade to a 5'er. Can any existing members provide this measurement from your rig? Thanks in advance
