Exact same mattress here and no issues with the gas struts lifting/holding it up. Please note that this mattress is more on the firm side so if your a stomach/back sleeper, you should have no issues but if you like to sleep on your side, it may not be for you. I am a side sleeper and am getting used to it but it is definitely much firmer than my Sealy pillow top in my house.

Aside note: it had no odors when unboxing and to this day has no odd smells and doesn't appear to hold heat like a typical foam mattress. It is also listed as "firm" on the Amazon listing.

We did the Comfort Tech from costco.

Ours was a King but they make a queen as well.

When you look forward to sleeping on your mattress, that is a special feeling.

We still like it...I'm a thrasher, rolling over, up & down all night long. Sue doesn't really notice anymore...at home I bounce her out of bed.
It is noticeably softer than the slab, shoulders & hips don't hurt anymore.

    Hope this helps

We also replaced our mattress within 2 weeks. Left the Plastic on the one that came with it. Good Will will only take "New with plastic". RV came with RV King and we bought a standard Queen. Of course this made the wood the mattress sat on stick out and cut your legs entering/exiting the bed. I simply took a skill saw, after marking a line on each side, and cut the excess off. We went to the local store and tried them out an bought a 10 inch thick that we liked.

we took out our king and replaced it with a queen size sleep number, much more comfortable and it gives us so much more room to move around the bed and making it is so much easier

That’s what we have. Plenty thick. We prefer it to our Serra Pillowtop at home!

This is a true statement. We have the upgraded king and the struts do not hold the bed up. One of the many things I need to do. Get stronger replacements, along with a new mattress to replace what’s there. Anemic matters is the best I have to say about the stock.

For those of you replacing a queen with a Casper or other nice foam mattress, did y'all have to expand the base at all? The plywood base or platform is a few inches short on all sides and I worry about that messing up the mattress over time. What did y'all do?
