    2006 chevy 3500HD Dually

Im wandering if a 2006 3500HD duramax with allison trans, dually will pull a momentum 351M-R . Or do I need a newer year truck with duramax . I found a pretty good deal on one with only 78k miles .

I pull mine with a 2005 F-350 diesel and it pulls great. I look at new ones a couple times a year then I see the price and put it off another year. Been doing that for six years now. One day I'll pull the trigger. One thing that makes mine pull good being older and less torque is the 4:36 rear gear.

Most likely yes, but best would be to see the payload sticker on the b-pillar. Just to make sure.

Buddy of mine has a 2005 2500HD with the Dmax/Allison and has 380K miles on it. Truck is still being worked.

The max weight for 5th wheel towing for that year is 16,700 and that is a regular cab, Duramax dually. Add in crew cab and it is 16,000 (for 4X4).

May be over on the carrying capacity of the truck also, hard to know unless what the weight is on the sticker of that truck.
