Thanks Steve. I opted to go with the Black w/Metallic Silver. I wanted to like the new silver colors (less heat, etc)... but I think there is just something is just off about them. Perhaps the front cap lines just need more definition?

Also, the lighter the color, the less heat sink you will get from black absorbing the sunlight.

Here are some pictures of the silver schemes...
Do you have a photo of the silver/white scheme's front cap?

    Thanks

I reverted back to either the Black w/Blue or Black with Metallic Silver. In the end I went with the Black w/Metallic Silver for the order.
Do you have any of those pictures? I'm purchasing a 398M and my husband is trying to pick colors. He's really interested in that lighter silver and charcoal color scheme. I would love to see what you were sent from the GD rep.

Nevermind I just saw the pictures on the previous page

I visited the factory and did a tour in July, I highly recommend that it was really informative. While there I got to see the silver with charcoal color paint. It’s darker than the one posted above, so it really had more definition that the lighter version. The silver with charcoal is the color we settled on for our 398m after seeing it in person. Our momentum should arrive in November, we ordered In March, I’ll be sure to share photos when it’s done.

Any updated pictures of the new rig? I’ve been on the fence about the black with silver vs the new silver with charcoal as well, but haven’t seen any good pictures of the new silver that really show the colors well and there just don’t seem to be any out on the road in my area. Would love to see some pics and hear your thoughts on the rig since picking it up!

Hey sorry I meant to post the photos when it came in Thanksgiving week and completely forgot. Love the color of the silver with the charcoal. Looks absolutely fantastic. And not too light at all. I'm super happy we went that way. Helps keep the rig cooler and doesn't show nearly as much dirt as the darker colors.

The paint looks amazing. Has a great gloss and easy to clean. I'm so glad I ordered it with the full body paint and in this color scheme. It definitely was worth the wait and the extra money in my opinion.

Thank you for the information!!! The color does look fantastic. The ease of keeping clean and cool were the exact reasons i was considering that color scheme. I appreciate it! Happy camping.

That is the reason we ordered ours with Silver and Charcoal.... We saw the color scheme when we visited GD this summer, it looked awesome...

Most pictures do now do it justice. There is always an exception, the pictures that @julz114 posted look great.
