    Neither am I but still...wow!

I'm upgrading my factory solar system and it's WHIMPY by comparison. I'm embarrassed to even call it an upgrade compared to what you have.

I've drooled on my keyboard most times that @cookinwitdiesel has published that photo. I've learned to control my envy by noting at the far left of the photo that he spent all his money on that system and still has the junk Lippert water pump that will soon fail and bring him grief. I hope.

(Very very nice cookinwitdiesel! How much to do mine?!)

Hey, don't you curse my water pump like that! lol

When/if it fails, it will get upgraded

I am just about out of things I can upgrade on this trailer.....last frontier will be replacing the rooftop ACs with a 240v dual zone mini-split I think. But that is not urgent for the time being.

No, I wasn't aware of a discount. Plus, I had already placed two orders for their 100ah batteries along with several other items and I didn't want to mess the order up any more than I already did. I was just happy I could change the order.

A couple thoughts for those with limited electrical skills.

    1. Wires will start a fire, not the batteries. Proper fuses and circuit breakers prevent that.
    2. Connections will heat first and bad ones heat at very low loads. Fuses and CBs don't help that. Take the time/money to do it right.
    3. Over sizing your wires is an investment in safety and efficiency.
    4. Vibration! Damaged insulation is pure trouble.

    What did I leave out?

I sure hope your last name isn't Jones, because you're making "keeping up with the Jones" freaking impossible!

If I were looking for Lithium (LiFePo4) batteries today, I would definitely be looking at building a 16 cell, 24 Volt, battery bank that would give me 1,120ah for about $1,500, that is the equivalent of $11,000 worth of Battle Born batteries (11 BB batteries) for 90% less money.

A DIY battery bank is definitely the way to go to save money on LiFePo4 batteries.

Here is a Video explaining about the batteries I am talking about..

If you watch his other videos he explains the build out process, there are other DIY builders of these batteries on YouTube as well.
You really got me really curious now. Thanks for sharing this.
