    Equa-Flex again

Just replaced the links between the equalizer and the springs yesterday. Have put grease in the wet bolts and replaced a zerk or two. Here is what I found. It was completely broken off. Bought some new ones and noticed that the new one are about three time thicker. Am thinking of going to Mor-Ryde.

This is the exact reason to switch to Morryde heavy duty shackles and wet bolts.

Yep, I had to rebuild our suspension after very few miles... As I opined before, it's a shame the industry took major steps backwards giving Lippert a monopoly on frames where they did the absolute minimum to hang a suspension from them but there used to be excellent setups before that (thinking like Open Range when it was independent). We all know better is out there with MORryde the most well-known in the RVing circle, but fact of the matter is better suspension tech and components have been around a long time.

Our S-Class now has MORryde CRE3000, HD shackle kit and X-factors at all 3 positions, disc brakes, and shocks. Custom springs with bushings in the eyes are going to be made for me later this year by the spring shop I use for my hot rods.

I have north of 120K on my enclosed vehicle hauler and I have done nothing but standard maintenance to that suspension, but had to rebuild our 5er after just a few thousand miles... It's not GD either. I rebuilt a Jayco Pinnacle's suspension of the same reasons (and worse, Lippert axles) and will be doing the same on friends' Forest River next month.

Was comparing the shackles on my dump trailer and the dexter 3500 lb. axle had the same shackle as the 7k axle on my 310GK

Switching the Equa-Flex out for MORryde CRE3000 this weekend on my 2020 Solitude 375RES with 6,500 miles on it. Ounce of prevention theory for me.
