    Dual pane windows

Hi there . Does anyone have a reflection fifth wheel with dual pane windows? Is it worth it? It’s a fairly pricey option at $2500 in Canada.

Yes, we ordered our 320MKS with dual pane windows. It cuts down the noise and retains the heat inside the coach better. Since we just picked it up in January, we haven't been able to test how well it keeps the coach cool, but as with our sticks-n-bricks, I expect it to keep the coach cooler so the AC doesn't run as much.

One thing I did notice is the moving part of the window is also dual pane. When I first saw them, I was under the impression they were single paned; that is until I opened one of them, they see unexpectedly heavier that I imagined due to them being double paned as well!

If you use the search function (top right) you'll find there have been dozens of threads on this topic - if not more. Your question doesn't have to be Reflection-specific, either. The topic of dual pane windows is applicable to all lines in which they are available.

We spent 4-1/2 years full-time in a Reflection 337RLS with single pane windows. Dual pane windows (DPWs) were on our must-have list when we ordered our Solitude. We are extremely glad we have them and would not go back to single pane. If you are not planning on full-timing or spending time in very hot or very cold conditions, you may decide differently.

I have noticed nowadays that double acrylic glass is most commonly used for glazing in the living area of motorhomes. They have good noise insulation and heat-saving properties.

Not the most common option. We see the windows in extreme cold places--or in extreme hot places.

I see no need to spend the $ or haul around so much weight in Mid America

We have a Reflection travel trailer with dual pane windows. They were worth the money. Would get them again.

In this southeast heat I sure wish I had them! I wonder if it's feasible to swap them out. I reckon I'd probably need different window frames as well

Yes - they are completely different frames. You'd have to contact GD to see if the cut-outs are the same size and check on prices. You might be amazed at what it might cost doing it aftermarket...
