I did the same to INSURE the dealer had ordered it correctly as well . I got my Vin long before it went to the assembly line.
In your situation now that we are past that point, you have to determine if you can put your plans off, or accept something which I think you’ll never be happy with in the long run. If you decide to accept it I would extract substantial financial renumeration for their mistakes. That may be more than enough to trade it in after your trip and have the new trailer order with everything you wanted ( from a different dealer)

Normally I would say don't accept but these days with all the shortages you may end up worse off with a loooong wait. As mentioned above, get all "promised" fixes in writing and be sure GD is in the loop to help with any difficulties.

JFWIW, I recently (yesterday) saw a guy in Arizona selling the entire HappyJack and 3 season door package for $750 I think. I think on this forum. Might be an option for you...

Grand Design does not, but the dealer itself may. My unit came in from an out of state locations within the McClains chain of dealerships. My first comment is basic. If you paid for it, don't accept less than what you paid for, or at least a written voucher indicating what is still owed to you, to be installed at the earliest to include free installation. With so many critical items missing, I would question your dealer and review if any complaints have been filed against them. Hopefully payment is due on receipt and not prior.

I would suggest you call Grand Design Customer Service. They can give you the VIN for the coach you ordered as well as provide you with a copy of the build and weight sheet for your coach. Then you will know if the coach your dealer is trying to get you to take, is actually your coach.

Your dealer probably sold your unit to a higher bidder. I had that happen to me. Everyone is buying trailers & rvs and they are difficult to come by.

If it was me I would walk there are plenty of dealers that sell GD. Rent an RV to do your trip. That dealer is not reliable, and probably did sell your rig to someone else. I would take the rig only if GD installs the missing options. I certainly would not depend on that dealer.

In the event you choose to not take the trip, we may be in a position to take some of the potentially unused reservations off your hands. That way you don't get hit with cancellation fees.

We're heading east to Florida (in Port Lavaca, Texas now), and will probably be here another week or so. We don't have much planned out after here because we've some repairs we need to have done before heading back out. It appears our battery charger has decided to quit, and the generator is being difficult.

Anyway, if interested, send me a PM and we can discuss.
