    F-350 with trailer hanging off bridge

    Did any of you happen to see this on the news this evening. This couple was very lucky!!

    Yeah I saw that. I assumed it was hanging from the ball, but it sounds like it was only hanging from the safety chains. Just goes to show that you want to make sure you have quality chains attached correctly. Frankly I don't think I could hang my truck from the tiny little loop on the trailer frame to which the chains are attached.

    The local article I read said it was hanging by only 1 chain.
    Unbelievable that it could hold.
    I will never again look at my safety chains as a PITA.
    The truck occupants are very lucky people.

    I would love to know how that happened!! As previously mentioned, I never would have thought you could hang an F-350 (or F-305 as another article stated ) from that little loop on the front of the frame.

    Yeah that incident could have ended in a lot of different ways, , worse.
