    I have a 2021 GD 297rsts

No 50 amp or EMS protection. It is an add on unless you elect to include/negotiate it into the purchase

As others have said, it does not.

You are wise to consider one, but consider shopping for more than just a "surge protector". There are lines of "EMS" (electrical management system) devices that offer valuable features in addition to surge protection, including brown-out protection and protection against improperly-wired or faulty supply connections as well as information features that report what went wrong when the EMS cut power to protect your trailer. They cost about double what a good surge protector costs, but the extra cost is small compared to the cost of damaged equipment in your trailer in the event that you encounter a power problem other than a surge.

There are two prominent leaders in the market for these devices; you can't go wrong choosing an appropriate device from one of them.

The other major decision you'll have to make is whether to purchase a device that hangs outside on the park power pedestal or a device that permanently installs inside the trailer. People make arguments for both, but the internal install seems to be most popular. This is seems to be the most popular device of all:

    Good luck with your choices.

    Well said.

Just wanted to emphasize the importance of EMS versus Surge Only. A low voltage situation is WAY more likely than a surge. The Progressive EMS doesn't just warn against low voltage; it shuts everything down to protect your equipment.
