Advice needed
Travel trailer toy hauler vs. 5th wheel toy hauler. Has anyone had both and could offer some insight. Is there a huge difference in towing either. We are looking at a 28G bumper hitch. We have enough truck (2020 Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi) but will towing a 33' trailer offer any issues? Would we be better off towing a 5th wheel?

My only thought with a TT Toy Hauler is that the toys can add a lot of weight to the rear of the TT and significantly lighten the hitch weight which can effect towability.
With a 5th Wheel Toy Hauler, the added weight of the toys may effect Pin Weight by the same amount, but, with a 5th Wheel you are starting with a higher pin weight (versus the TT tongue weight) and with the 5th Wheel attaching above the axle on the Tow Vehicle your towability would be less effected (if at all) by the weight of your toys.
The 5th Wheel is also a much more stable towing platform and with the extra weight of toys I would choose the 5th Wheel format.David and Peggy
