They actually give reduced corrosion and increased fridge life as a benefit for their product. The owner came and gave a presentation to our Quartzsite group last year. He compared it to leaving an empty pan on a hot stove, it will warp or melt away with nothing in it. He relayed an anecdote about an airstream owner who kept having fridge problems with the boiler chamber corroding prematurely (every few years). Turns out they did a lot of mountain pass driving with the fridge on and the ARP unit fixed the problem. You can get reports from it as to how many times it tripped.

Ok. A few things I've noted in this thread.
The arp unit looks like a good idea to me.
Some of you are WAY to committed to things.
Ammonia is NOT a highly flammable gas, in fact it's really, really difficult to ignite at all.
Beer and pee may or may not put out a fridge fire.

Actually that is a myth, well what I mean is if you are caught using propane on a tow trailer (not sure about class motor homes) its illegal and if caught you can get a ticket and /or if you are in an accident and your trailer goes up in flames and the tanks are open, you are at fault and insurance won't cover it. Happens to a good friend right before covid.... Fire report came back the tank was open and insurance denied his claim. (this was in the state of California so other states may have different laws)
