If you just dump everything at once you can push solids through your tank into your field - not a good thing. That being dais I use my clean out all the time.     My septic tank has a filter to prevent solids from getting into my drain field. I have a chamber-type system vs the normal rubber tire type drain field.

    Same with ours. Chambered and filtered. I also lower the sewer hose close to the water level.

    Same for us with the filter in addition we have a lift station with macerating sewage pump between the tank and the leach field. I got the ok from our plumber before doing it. We were careful to use septic safe additives as well. So far so good.
