    Truck Tire Pressures--RAM 3500 DRW, 320MKS

We bought our Reflection 320MKS in January -- had it delivered to the campground and have been living in it ever since while dealing with some health issues. In April we bought a 2018 RAM 3500, Cummins Diesel, crew cab, long bed, Dual Rear Wheels. We have never taken this combo on the road, but are now ready to travel. Fully loaded weight of the trailer is 14,000 pounds, but we probably won't be quite fully loaded. What tire pressures are recommended for the truck?

The placard on the door may not be accurate if the previous truck owner changed tires.

Spot on ^^^^ NB.....and if they are the same size as what the placard states, he now knows his needed tire pressure.

    Just throwing this out there.
My stock Michelin tires on the sidewall say 80 PSI max.
Placard inside the door of our new 2021 F350 DRW says 65 rears, 75 front.

So now I'm personally in a pinch of what pressure to run, either with our 4000 lb Lance truck camper or our 310GK-R.
    I've settled for "in between".
    72 rears, 75 fronts.
2021 310GK-R - MorRyde suspension and pin box. Sumo Springs. Solar, 7k axles.
    2019 Lance 1062 Truck Camper, 2 slides.

The pressure listed on the tire will be the cold pressure necessary to give you the maximum load rating of that tire. The yellow sticker will give you the stock tire size and pressure necessary to carry the GVWR on the stock tire.

For a dual wheel, the tire manufacturer tire page will have more info...I think the axle can be the weaker link on a dual wheel, but an owner will have to confirm.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say with the axle being the weak link on the Duallys. The order of progression for overloading is like this. Once you reach the CCC of the truck, you will be at the GVWR. Going over the CCC will automatically take the truck over the GVWR, as displayed on the yellow/white sticker. The next in line for getting overloaded, if you continue to add weight to the truck is the rear axle (this assumes that it is not very easy to add weight to the front of the truck vs. adding weight to the rear). If you reach the point of adding enough weight to the rear of the truck to be at the RAWR, the last thing to then be overloaded is the tires. If I remember correctly, on my Dually which is 75 psi front....65 rear, the rear tires, if inflated to those numbers will provide about 1000 lbs more than the RAWR. Don't take the 1000 lbs as gospel, as I can't remember the exact number, but I do know that tires are the last thing to become overloaded in that line of progression.

So the point is that the manufacturer's listed inflation numbers for the tires will provide more than enough tire load capacity for the full GVWR of the truck. It will also provide a margin of weight above the GVWR AND the RAWR....until you reach the tire load capacity rating for the given inflation numbers on the sticker.
