Anyone running ip cameras instead of backup / observation cameras

Just got my RV and driving down the highway or moving around a campground I can see the need for some visibility. Looked at all the backup cameras and they seem pretty pricey and you're locked into an app or a monitor with little flexibility. Most top out at 4 cameras.

Anyone running regular ip cameras like a reolink Rlc-410 ($49) paired to a phone or tablet for visibility going down the road. It runs on 12 volts.

I'm thinking 4 of these guys paired to my tablet on a mount, gets me in for $200. When I'm not rolling down the road I can use them for security. Paired up to an app like tinycam pro for screen layout, I can run as many cameras as I want or even use a browser when stationary. I can also set one up to line up the king pin easier.

Just wondering anyone running something similar and how do the cameras hold up at 75mph.

You are likely going to run into bit rate issues and delay when the entire field of view is changing rapidly and constantly.

Good point, I may just order one and see how bad it is. Except for the Furrion, none seem to be popular name brand. Kinda skiddish about sinking $500+ and being married to a single brand or the brand disappearing.

We have the DoHonest and it fit into the Furion prewired spot with a provided adaptor. It serves its purpose well and has a good refresh rate. I actually got it mainly for seeing behind me on the road , although it’s helpful backing into a spot. I trust my wife more though . It has grid lines which can be applied or adjusted just like the truck when in reverse

I am trained to use my inside mirror and when the trailer is behind me of course it’s blocked. However by putting the monitor under it using the suction cup on the glass, it’s just like looking into the mirror seeing behind the trailor.
