smart tv/no dvd player

We recently purchased a new Transcend travel trailer. We assumed but were amazed to find that the tv did not come with a dvd player. It does have a smart tv and we do subscribe to hulu, netflix and peacock. My husband and I are not tech savvy in the least. Please advise if I am correct in thinking these are my choices. Buy a compact dvd player (very limited space). Or purchase some kind of wifi service that can be used at campsites (if there is such a thing). We are wanting to watch an occasional movie or listen to CD's. I have found dvd players in the range of $40 - $60 dollars. Have no idea how much wifi would cost us. There may be another alternative that we "un-tech savvy" people dont know about. Any ideas?

I'm guessing your rig has an AM/FM/ radio with CD player? If so, that likely doubles as a DVD player. If it's anything like our Imagine, the radio is AM/FM/CD and DVD. If that is the case, PLEASE NOTE, if you play a DVD, the sound does not come from the tv, the sound comes from the speakers on the ceiling, the same speakers that you hear your radio from. ALSO PLEASE NOTE - If your in a campground and you want to watch the super action movie, , or any movie for that matter. Make sure you only have your interior speakers on and your exterior speakers off. Otherwise you will end up with angry fellow campers.

No. My stereo does not have a dvd included. Just an am FM radio only. That's why we were surprised. Our other grand design had the DVD included. This one definitely does not.

Doesn’t make any sense. Looking at the literature and brochures and videos it all shows a DVD

Perhaps a shortage of stereos and they put yours in? Doubt it but maybe. Call GD customer service and with your vin they can tell you quick

My Solitude didn't come with a DVD player either which I thought was crazy. I went to Best Buy and bought 2 small Sony blue ray players for $69 bucks each and just hook them to the HDMI plug on back of TV. The one in the living room sets on the counter next to TV. The one for the bedroom TV tucks up behind the TV out of sight while in use. Not a perfect solution but cheap and they work great. Just a thought...

Yes it's new. The "Power Package" shows only AM/FM stereo radio. So I guess the Transcends don't come equipped.

That was an option we have considered. It has to be small because the cabinet it would have to go in is very small. Think we found a compact one for $40. Just thought I would ask about the wifi issue in order to maybe use our subscriptions to Hulu, Netflix and Peacock since it is a smart tv.
