    I've read of issues with those as well. None of the brands are free from binding. This resolves that issue or you can be that guy who is smarter than everyone else and do your thing. I'm here to help others that are looking for help.

    I usually leave my cord plugged
    into my truck and have never had a problem. Do you have any idea what would cause this, if it actually did?

    I don’t know if plugging in the shore power while connected to the truck caused this or not. This happened with our old TT and a different tow vehicle which had an after market brake controller. Might just be coincidence.

    Now we have different trailer and a different truck with an OEM brake controller. I think it’s unlikely there would be a problem but I got in the habit of disconnecting the truck before plugging in the shore power.

    I plug in at the pedestal first. That gives me a chance for the EMS to run the process and approve the power. It also gives my batteries a break as I am using the pedestal power for both the landing/leveling process as well as extending the slides. Just the way that I’ve done it since we got the unit.
