I would highly suggest you go to NRVIA.com and locate an Inspector in your area. In my opinion you should have your RV inspected along with having a (life safety) walk through. This will tell you the condition of your RV, what needs repair and teach you about how to care for/use your RV.

Your situation sounds a lot like mine. I travel from work as well, and my wife and I decided it just made sense to full time in the RV. We just closed on the sale of our house last week so now it's official for us too.
You jumped in pretty quick, but that's OK. There will be challenges and many days you'll wish you hadn't done this. Hang in there and lean on this group for help, advice and moral support. There is a lot of experience here and many here probably don't know that this group had a big influence on our decision to go full-time.
Good luck!
