Ac and heater working at same time
Anyone ever turned on heat, dometric controlled , just fan, ac, and heat, and had both the ac and heater running at the same time?
We just pulled the unit out of Storage getting it ready to head to Arizona for the winter
Need heat not ac in Minnesota now.
I shut down ac breaker for now
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi there. This is one of the most frequently asked questions.
Change the fan setting on your thermostat to auto. Then just the furnace fan will operate, and not the AC.

You're welcome. I find it so odd that the manufacturer still makes them this way.

I just remember that for heat, I want the setting on “auto”. I believe this is because once the thermostat has read the ambient temp you set, the furnace turns off, but the fan continues, to cool down the unit (avoids a potential fire). The temperature setting controls the heat.

AC / Auto or Heat / Auto. The only time you would run Fan / On is when you are just looking to circulate air.
Fan means the fan will be on at all times. Not likely your AC compressor was on but the fan was.Jeff and Jen

My 337RLS is doing the same thing but I get a E1 flashing after Auto and the Heat and Air are running at the same time I disconnected the thermostat and got the same thing. Might be a bad controller?
