When traveling what is the best???

When traveling what is the best?
To have your window shades up?
to have your window shades down?
    or it doesn’t really matter?

I guess it doesn't really matter. We travel with them down. It helps keep the sun from beating in while traveling. The rig is hot enough when we reach our destination, we don't want to help warm it up more.

I should add we have the "old" accordion type blinds. They're fastened at the top and bottom and don't flap. The blinds over the stove are traditional aluminum blinds. They have a plastic tab at the bottom of the window to snap into to hold them in position when down.

We keep them up to prevent them from bouncing and slaming but I'm not sure it makes a difference.

We keep them down, as @livinthelife says. Don't need the rig hotter when we get there.

Keeping them down also keeps the sun from shining on your furniture which can cause it to fade some.

The bottom bars on our shades are metal. I don't want them banging on the window frames or walls while under way so we keep all the shades up while on the road. It's not going to make much temperature difference in the long run while being pulled down the road on a hot day without the ACs running.
