I do have a question for the board.
With the 310gk having a 50 gallon black water tank, how long can I run the black tank flush with the valve closed without risking overflow?

I've been skittish and have at most run it for 90 seconds. I realize its a function of campground water pressure, gpm and all that, but I got a C in Physics
and would rather not be assigned an F by the DW should I run it too long.

    Thanks in advance.
As you say, depends a lot on the water source. But I figure it probably isn't ever going to be more than 4 or 5 gpm from a garden hose, so an empty black tank would probably take 10 minutes to fill up. Or more. Think how long it takes to fill the fresh tank. Going to be similar.

That said, I'm kinda like you. LOL. I count off about two minutes and that's the most I ever do. Also, I mostly use a public dump site, and 99% of the time there's someone else waiting to use it. So I try to minimize the amount of black tank flushing I do.

Well, folks, I'm happy to report that my issue has been resolved. It did cost me $150.00, but the Mobile Black Tank tech did a thorough job, and DW & I feel it was worth the money and we have no further worries!! And all of our sensors in both black and gray are reading as they should - for now, LOL!! BTW - I did try the hose filled with gray water one time a few days ago and that one time we made maybe four or five attempts to no avail. I probably coulda/should tried again yesterday, but I felt the folks went out of their way to help me - so I didnt want to cancel.

Thanks again for all the advice!! Until the next time.....

    FYI
I had the same problem Tuesday. Pulled the black lever for weekly dump and not even a dribble.
Thought about the handle not being in all the way from last dump. Ruled that out.
We are full hookups, and sitting for 6 mo. So I dump black once a week.
I purchased a hose adapter with a twirling end and about 3 ft. Of flex hose, to clean tank on old class C . Still have it.
I stuck it down the toilet and all the way to bottom of black tank and then let it fill the tank completely.
I pulled the valve and the whole clog of toilet paper came flying out.
It saved a call to the black tank guy.
Just another tool in the box
    Good luck
A good buy to have for $15.00

    Thanks for the thread Steve.

Do you know for sure what caused the blockage?

Not enough water in the black tank after dumping? Not using RV toilet paper? Issues with the dump valve?
