2600RB Additional 15 Amp Service to Bedroom

We picked up a new 2021 2600RB and quickly realized that most of the folks on the forums are right! Your third truck and third camper are probably the right ones! Note to self- try to skip number two of each.

This model is a 4 season camper; We picked it up in sub-freezing temperatures and set out for our first adventure. Wow, can you burn through propane trying to stay warm at 22 degrees! 2 #20 bottles in 48 hours! (I assume they were full)

Enter electric heater

Next issue, 30 Amps goes quick! Don’t plug in a coffee maker, two heaters, and the wive’s hairdryer!

We need more electric service; I noticed some forum members say air conditioning may be an issue in the Southeast US, time to get proactive. It may require a small portable AC.
Darn the guys on the forum were right about the 30 Amp service, here we go down the rabbit hole.

The Idea:

Adding a 15Amp shore service to the bedroom

The well located in the 2600RB Convenience Center offered a reasonable entry once you get over the proximity of water and electricity (there is already a GFCI in there). Bonus: You can add a drain for a possible AC/ Dehumidifier.

BTW: Add some support to the Convenience Center while you are in there it is flimsy at best (two 15 1/2 inch 3/4 sqaure pieces of wood and a few kreg 1 1/4 inch sqare drive screws add's alot!)

I will be doing a bumper upgrade with a boondock power kit in a couple weeks featuring thourogood Fabrications, Generatorbox.com and Hutch Mountain its going to be fun- I look forward to sharing. Then comes the solar. Hmm, suspension is questionable.

Stay safe out there, and have a good time!
