Transcend 2021 245RL Furrion Refrig
We just picked up our 245 RL TT on 3/5/21. Camped for a week in N. Ga, Tenn. Heat kept us warm on some VERY cold nights. Headed back to FL and used AC. No cooling issues even though the BR only has one vent, circulation of air/cooling was excellent. Last night of camping our Furrion 12V fridge stopped. Checked fuses, breakers, and so on, This fridge runs off of battery only and battery shows full charge. Anyone else had this issue? Have calls and email into GD waiting for response.
Thanks

How are you measuring the battery? It may just be the battery does not have enough charge to run the fridge. There is a shutoff feature on the fridge that will not allow it operate if the battery voltage is low.

yes, please let us know as i am about to purchase a Transcend model. I like the idea of the new fridge and worry about the power draw during boondocking trips.
Please update us once you figure it out.

Thanks! I am going to check the charge on battery (aside from what camper says is fully charged). We did not have super sunny weather so solar power may not have charged the battery fully. Curious why battery did not charge while on shore power? Lots to learn w/solar

Shore power should charge the battery as long as the battery disconnect is not engaged. Also, as long as you are connected to shore power the onboard power converter will supply the 12V to operate the fridge in addition to the battery. Basically the 12V from the battery and the 12V from the power converter are in parrallel and there is a fused output 12V wire from the power converter to fridge.
If you are trying to run off of just the battery you will need to make sure you don't have the battery disconnect engaged.

What kind of batteries did your dealer put on? Inexpensive group 24 interstates is my guess. Without solar, the fridge can drain both in under a day.
Wait a sec, did you have 120V the whole time? Then it shouldn't have stopped. Definitely need more battery on these trailers to boondock successfully, however.Current: 2021 Transcend 261BH, 2019 Ford F250 SRW SWB CC 6.2 - Picture

Heard back from Furrion. Going to dealership next weekend. Furrion will replace any part or even the entire fridge if dealership recommends.
Will let everyone know what the outcome is and why the fridge quit working.
Still love the TT overall.

If all you have is the one small battery the dealer supplied you are woefully short.
Many people don’t boondock so for them not an issue.
They have just started putting 12 v refrigerators in many campers with a minuscule solar panel and the brutally small battery. A recipient for failure as your reefer will be the largest 12 draw on your battery.
Easy fix, increase battery power. If you find you boondock a lot ....more solar or a small 2000 watt generator.Donna and Dave

Pulled to the dealership. They tested everything and cannot determine why fridge is not working. We had to leave her and give them more time to figure it out.
Will keep y'all posted.
