Remember when these conversion vans were great for trips? '92 Chevy Mark 3 and '95 Dodge Empire. Took a lot of trips in these vans. Neither one was a hotrod but not slow for big vans.

we like camping or not. 2 trailers later we still own the van as a 2nd car.

The '92 we had was equipped with the 350 engine. It had plenty power to pull a mid size travel trailer but we would just stop at rest areas and take a nap in the queen sized bed. Made many trips to Maryland to the wife's sister house. Usually stopped in the Smokies on the way back. This van would get close to 20 mpg if you kept the speed down. The Dodge had the higher roof and was real wind sensitive. 318 engine but only got 16 mpg on the hwy. Originally Posted by attaboy

Had a friend tow it 160mi from dealer on Sunday, installed Goosebox on Monday and maiden tow on Wednesday.....going through it and setting up for our first trip in a few weeks from now.
