Campground with Wired Ethernet
Later this year we'll be staying at a campground that offers wired high-speed internet. If it really performs, I'd love to take advantage of that compared to using their WiFi or using data plans for our devices.
So is it as simple as bringing along an inexpensive router that can be configured via an app on my tablet? I'd likely place the router in the basement, run ethernet to the pedestal via the wet bay. I'm hoping we'll have a nice private network our mobile devices can connect to.
I'm used to being hard-wired to my routers while I configure them, so this is a new possibility. What issues would you expect I could run into?

Be sure you can do all the setup functions on the router wirelessly. Some don’t give you full access unless you are on a wired connection.

Yes, everything I’ve done in the past has been with wired connections. When I check the marketing materials for current Belkin and Linksys models, they imply all you need is your tablet or phone (with their app) to manage the devices.
I would confirm that with their support before making a purchase. I can easily see having multiple choices that cost less than $50.

Are you sure you plug an ethernet cable into the pole? I have stayed at a couple of resorts that have wire internet including the one I'm at now and they provide you a cable modem to use. We had to do a three hundred dollar deposit and plug it into the cable connection inside our RV and we plug in our router into one of the ethernet ports on the cable modem to separate our network from the parks.
